Privacy Policy

For the game Corridors.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This explains what happens to your information when you play Corridors, a game made by Augustine Interactive. The short version is that Corridors runs on your own machine and keeps to itself. If anything below raises a question, there is a contact link at the end.

Summary

  • Corridors reads the folders you point it at so it can show your files inside the game. All of that happens on your device. Nothing about your files is ever sent anywhere.
  • The game keeps no analytics and no usage tracking. It does not phone home.
  • A little data is kept on your own device: your settings, and, if you turn them on, optional profiles that hold things like thumbnail caches and where you left off.
  • The only information that leaves your device is what Steam handles when you play the Steam build, such as achievements and online leaderboard scores. That data goes to Steam and no further. It never reaches us or any other third party, and it falls under Valve's own privacy policy, not this one.

Who we are

Corridors is made and published by Augustine Interactive, a small independent studio based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of this policy, Augustine Interactive is the party responsible for your information, the "data controller" under UK GDPR. You can reach us through the contact link at the end of this page.

Your files stay yours

Corridors can take a folder on your computer and turn it into a space you walk through, with your own files shown on the walls. This part matters most, so we want to be plain about it.

If you point Corridors at your own folders, what you see is for your eyes only.

What the game keeps on your device

Corridors saves a small amount of data locally so it can remember your setup between sessions. This sits on your own computer, in your control, and you can delete it whenever you like.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Removing the game's data folder, or the profile, removes it.

Analytics and tracking

Corridors keeps no analytics. It does not track how you use it, report crashes, or send any usage data, and there is no advertising or profiling of any kind. We do not build a picture of you, and we have nothing about you to sell or hand on.

One thing worth being clear about, since it is easy to misread: the game does time each run. A per-run timer is part of how Corridors plays and how runs are scored, so of course it counts the clock while you play. That timer stays on your device. The only time a run time goes anywhere is in the Steam version, when a score is recorded for an achievement or submitted to a Steam leaderboard, where the time is the whole point of the entry. It is never used to watch how long you spend in the game or to build any kind of profile, and it serves no purpose beyond the game itself and its scoreboards.

The Steam build and Steam's part in it

If you play the version bought through Steam, the Steam client and Steam's services take part the same way they do for any Steam game.

Your Steam account, and the data Steam holds about you, are covered by Valve's Privacy Policy: store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement. Requests about Steam-held data should go to Valve.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, and comparable rules such as the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have rights over personal information a company holds about you, including the right to see it, correct it, or have it deleted.

The honest position here is that we do not collect or hold personal information about you. Your files, settings and profiles live on your own device, where you can view or delete them yourself at any time. Because nothing on our end is tied to you, most such requests have nothing for us to act on. Even so, you are welcome to ask, and we will reply.

For anything Steam holds about you, such as your account, purchases, achievements or leaderboard entries, those requests should go to Valve under their policy, since that data is theirs to manage.

Keeping data safe

The data Corridors creates stays on your device, so protecting it mostly comes down to your own computer's security. We do not run servers that store your information, so there is no player database on our side to be lost or breached.

Playing from outside the UK

Corridors is available worldwide. Wherever you play from, the game behaves the same and keeps your data on your device. Where Steam is involved, any handling of Steam account data across borders is done by Valve under their policy.
